Playlist Sync Matcher
Playlist Sync Matcher turns streaming playlists into working local M3U files by matching tracks from services like Spotify to your own music library. It provides a GUI and reports to review matches, resolve conflicts, and export playlists that play instantly on your local setup.
Playlist Sync Matcher bridges the gap between streaming playlists and a local music library. The core challenge is reliably mapping streaming tracks—often with variations like remasters, live versions, or different editions—to the correct local files. Instead of a static list of titles, the tool produces fully functional M3U playlists that reference your actual file paths, so you can enjoy curated lists offline and without vendor lock-in. Privacy remains intact: it doesn’t download music; it simply matches and links to what you already own.
Under the hood, the tool reads playlists via the Spotify Web API (and compatible sources) and scans local folders to build an index of available tracks. It compares metadata such as title, artist, album, duration, and optionally tags, applying fuzzy matching and configurable rules to resolve close candidates. A streamlined GUI surfaces suggested matches, conflicts, and unmatched items with clear reports, while exports generate clean M3U files with correct, portable paths. The design emphasizes repeatability, transparent decisions, and safe, non-destructive operation.
